Jakarta Int Airport Immigration Chief Arrested

Jakarta Police arrested the chief of Soekarno Hatta International Airport’s immigration officer, Rochadi Iman Santoso, on Friday on charges of alleged travel document forgery.

“The suspect allegedly violated Articles 263 of the Criminal Code by forging travel documents,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said in a text message received by The Jakarta Post.

Rochadi was charged with falsifying travel documents and faces a maximum six years’ jail sentence.

“Based on the allegation, we arrested him on Saturday evening,” he said. Rikwanto did not reveal further details. “We are still investigating,” he said.
