Judge charged with Theft, False Accounting !!

A judge has appeared before the district court in Dublin this evening charged with theft and false accounting.

Heather Perrin, aged 60, of Lambay Court in Malahide in Dublin is accused of stealing €4,416, the property of Gareth Gilroy, between the 1 May 2006 and the 31 July 2007.

She is also charged with an offence of false accounting between the 25 May 2004 and 2 April 2009.

Detective Sergeant Patrick Linehan of the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation told the court she replied not guilty when both charges were put to her this afternoon.

The case has been sent forward to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
