Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met leaders of four countries late on Monday after arriving here for the second Nuclear Security Summit.
The meetings were with President Hu Jintao of China, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, Prime Minister Mario Monti of Italy and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg of Britain.
While the meetings with Mr Hu and Dr Yudhoyono were informal chats before the welcome dinner, those with Mr Clegg and Mr Monti, held after dinner, were longer and more formal.
The Italian leader briefed Mr Lee on steps his country was taking to tackle its economic problems.
