A group of chefs from India have prepared the world's longest thosai. It measures 14.7m and sets a new record in the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the Press Trust of India.
A 20-member crew, led by renowned chef Damoranan, broke the previous record, a 11.6m long thosai (or dosa) made by the Vijayawada Hotel Owners Association.
The feat was achieved as part of the food festival inMadurai , Tamil Nadu state, held to raise funds to support government schools and orphanages.
A 18.6m pan weighing 900kg was custom made and fitted to a special steel table, and about 1,500kg of batter was provided by Hotel Temple City to make the record-breaking thosai.
