A group of chefs from India have prepared the world's longest thosai. It measures 14.7m and sets a new record in the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the Press Trust of India.
A 20-member crew, led by renowned chef Damoranan, broke the previous record, a 11.6m long thosai (or dosa) made by the Vijayawada Hotel Owners Association.
The feat was achieved as part of the food festival in Madurai, Tamil Nadu state, held to raise funds to support government schools and orphanages.
A 18.6m pan weighing 900kg was custom made and fitted to a special steel table, and about 1,500kg of batter was provided by Hotel Temple City to make the record-breaking thosai.
