The Singapore Air Show, the third biggest worldwide, recorded US$31 billion in transactions during the six-day exhibition, tripling from 2010’s transactions of $10 billion.
The biggest transactions were made by Boeing, Airbus, Pratt and Whitney CFM and ATR.
It was also reported that 900 participants from 50 countries and 266 delegations from 80 airlines worldwide came to sign new arrangements. The show attracted 38,000 visitors from 119 countries.
The show’s managing director, Jimmy Lau, said he was very pleased with both the transactions made and the number of people attending the show. He said, “It highlights the fact that Singapore has been viewed as an important platform by the world airline industry.”
